Supported by Welsh Government’s international collaboration funding stream Taith, She Is Not Your Rehab came to Wales for a series of eye-opening events in 2023. The impact was profound. In 2024, a group of 16 adults and 8 young people from Wales embarked on a journey to New Zealand, immersing themselves in ground-breaking, community-driven approaches to accountability and transformation. It was in the heart of this experience that Our Voice Our Journey was born. The name reflects the fusion of two Welsh youth groups: Her Voice Wales and We Know Our Journey who took part in the trip.

Our Story
Our Voice Our Journey emerged from a powerful collaboration between Plan International UK and the globally recognized anti-violence movement She Is Not Your Rehab. In 2023/24. Deeply moved by Matt Brown’s TEDx Talk, The Barbershop Where Men Go to Heal, reaching out to She Is Not Your Rehab, sparked the beginning of a transformative partnership.
Inspired by New Zealand’s visionary, community-led models, the group saw an opportunity to reimagine how young people can lead the charge in building safer, more equitable communities back here in the UK.
