Ever feel like you’re the only one struggling? You’re not.
Lots of young people feel this way even if it doesn’t always look like it. This campaign is here to remind you that you’re not alone, and you don’t have to deal with everything by yourself. Whatever you’re feeling right now is okay.
There are small things you can do to help yourself, and ways to look out for others too.

Check in with yourself if things feel hard
You don’t have to fix everything at once. It’s okay to take things one step at a time.
Young people have shared things they do when they’re struggling, in the hope it might help someone else feel a bit less alone:
- Going for a walk
- Joining in with a sport
- Talking to someone they trust
- Spending some time gaming
- Having time to themselves
- Listening to music
Other gentle things that might help:
- Take a moment to notice how you’re actually feeling, there’s no right or wrong way to feel
- Do something grounding, like breathing slowly or stepping outside
- Stick to small routines that help you feel a bit more steady
- Try to be kind to yourself, struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing
Even small things can make a difference.
Check in with a mate
A simple “How are you, really?” can mean more than you realise. You don’t need the right words or perfect advice. It’s okay if it feels a bit awkward.
Sometimes the most helpful thing you can do is just listen.
Being there matters more than fixing things. Showing you care matters more than saying the perfect thing.
You don’t have to be a therapist — just showing up, listening, and caring can make a real difference. Checking in helps create spaces where people feel heard and supported.
Check in with help if you need it
If things don’t feel right, that’s reason enough to reach out. You don’t have to wait until things feel really bad.
Support looks different for everyone. That might mean talking to a friend, a youth worker, a teacher, or a mental health service. Asking for help early can help stop things from building up.
