Five ways to be part of what we are building this spring!

Five ways to be part of what we’re building

It’s been a little while — and a lot is happening.

Across Wales and beyond, we’re building spaces for young people, communities and services to connect, learn and create change together.

Over the past few months we’ve been at Festival of the Boy in London, in conversation with health boards across Wales, preparing to launch Safe & Sound Wales — our new online resource for parents and carers — taking an incredible group to Aotearoa, and getting ready to welcome the Blue Light NZ team to Wales later this summer. We also have a brand new toolkit for education settings on the way.

We’re also delighted to share that we’ve recently received core funding from the Moondance Foundation and KFC Foundation. Their support means we can keep growing this work and reaching even further. We’re hugely grateful to all of our funders and supporters who continue to back what we do.

Here are five ways to get involved with what’s next:

1. Join the REWIRED network

REWIRED is our growing network of people across Wales and Islington who care about creating safer, more connected communities with young people at the centre.

Whether you work in youth services, education, community development, prevention — or simply care deeply about change — REWIRED is for you.

Inside the network you’ll find:

  • opportunities to connect with others
  • shared learning and practical tools
  • training and events
  • space to collaborate and test ideas
  • inspiration from people doing things differently
  • access to our Real Talk Conversation Cards

We’re building this together — and we’d love you to be part of it.

2. Start conversations with young people using Real Talk Cards

Our Real Talk Conversation Cards are designed to spark meaningful conversations with young people, families, teams and communities.

They’re perfect for:

  • youth groups
  • classrooms
  • team reflection
  • workshops
  • difficult conversations that need a starting point

Cards are available free in select areas across Wales, and can also be purchased via our shop.

If you’ve already used them, we’d love to hear how.

3. She Is Not Your Rehab are returning — and we’re building what comes next together

Our partnership with She Is Not Your Rehab continues to grow, and we’re excited to welcome the team back to Wales and London this September/October.

This collaboration has already sparked powerful conversations and real action across communities. Now we’re looking to build on that momentum.

We’d love to connect with people who want to:

  • collaborate on projects
  • host conversations or events
  • fund future work
  • explore community-led approaches to healing, accountability and violence prevention

If you’ve got an idea — we’d love to hear from you.

5. Join the waitlist for the Blue Light NZ Conference

One of the most exciting parts of our journey continues this year as we prepare to welcome young people and staff from Blue Light New Zealand to Wales.

This exchange is rooted in connection, culture, shared learning and leadership — and we can’t wait to see what grows from it.

Together with Tempo Time Credits, we’ll be hosting a conference where organisations can hear directly from Blue Light NZ, New Zealand Police school officers, and young people from both Wales and New Zealand about building trust between young people, communities and police — and creating pathways to safer futures.
